What should you do if your crab-apple jelly doesn't set properly?

For each 250mL (1 cup), of jelly or jam, measure 15 mL (1.1/2 tbsp). Mix the powdered pectin in a small saucepan on low heat. Stir until dissolved. Mix the sugar with the fruit mixture. Stir until well blended.

What can I do if my jelly does not set?

Mix 1/4 cup sugar with 1/4 cup water, 1/4 cup white grape juice, 2 tablespoons of bottled lemon juice and 4 teaspoons powdered Pectin for each quart jam or jelly you want to fix in a large saucepan. If you make a batch of jam but have 10 8-ounce jars that don't set, it would be considered an average batch (or 2.5 quarts).

How long does it take for crabapple jelly set? About 20 minutes

Can you also Reboil jelly even if it isn't set?

Pour the contents of the jars back into the pot to fix or re-set runny jelly or jam. Add 1/2 cup sugar to 6-8 8-ounce jars. Or 2 tablespoons bulk pectin. After a few minutes, reboil the jars and then fill them with your normal ingredients.

How can you get apple jelly to set?

Cover the apples with a lid and simmer until soft. This will take about 15-20 minutes. 3. Install your jelly drip device and let your fruits drip/train for 6-8hours. Do not squeeze the bag as it will make your jelly cloudy.
