AP ArmaflexA(r), Pipe Insulation is a closed-cell, fiber-free elastomeric thermoinsulation. It is made without HFC's, CFC's or HCFCs. All AP ArmaflexA (r) products include MicrobanA(r), antimicrobial product protection to provide additional defense against mold.

  1. Take measurements of the pipe to be insulated.
  2. Make a vertical cut and trim the pipe sleeves to the desired length.
  3. Place the pipe sleeve, with the new cut seam facing down, on the pipe.
  4. Secure the pipe sleeve with tape or a cable tie.

Is armaflex safe to use outside?

Without additional UV-protection, the UV-resistant hT/ Armaflex may be used outdoors.

Is armaflex water-resistant?

Armaflex is water-resistant, but not water proof. I don't cover Armaflex and haven’t seen any Armaflex that has soaked up water.
