Craftsman chainsaw: Who was it?

They are manufactured under Sears by Husqvarna Industries. They are made officially by the American Division, Husqvarna Forestry Co. also known as Husqvarna Outdoor Products. They may also contain parts of Poulan or Husqvarna chainsaws.

Consider this: Who makes Craftsman Polesaw, then?

Stanley Black & Decker purchased the Craftsman brand in January 2017. However, Sears maintained royalty-free rights for the Craftsman trademark over the next 15 years. Stanley Black & Decker now controls the Husqvarna Group of Companies.

Also, Husqvarna chainsaws are made in China. Husqvarna chainsaws are made in many countries, even though they say that they were made in Sweden or the USAa. The company has subsidiaries and facilities in Sweden, France and Germany. Most likely, each chainsaw contains components that were sourced from at least one of these countries.

Another question is: Are Craftsman and Poulan the exact same thing?

Poulan, owned by Husqvarna is often a mix of the two brands' technologies. Poulan products are used in most Craftsman mid-level products in the power equipment category.
