What tree also has Propeller Seeds

They're also known as propeller seeds and whirlygigs. They are not what I thought they were. These are seeds from a maple tree. If you have one, you'll know that late spring is gutter-cleaning time.

What does it mean if maple trees produce a lot of seeds? Sometimes, an over-abundance in samaras can indicate that the tree suffered some type of astressa during the previous year. If that happens, the tree will produce a bumper crop to continue the species.

Hence, some seeds can fly.

It depends on what kind of seed it is and where it was grown. Some tall tree produce seed with stiff wings to cover the seed, allowing them to fly far. The seeds spin around when the wind blows on them.

What seeds can be transported by air?

Dandelions, swan and cottonwood seeds are light and feathery and can be carried by wind for long distances. Some plants, such as maple trees and kauri, have wings-shaped seeds.
