Should I use thinset or mastic?

Mastic, a non-cementitious material, has some advantages and disadvantages over thinset. Mastic is an excellent choice for kitchen walls, where very little water will need to be applied to tile. Thinset Thinset is a cementitious product which requires water to produce a chemical reaction similar to concrete.



What should I do about the backsplash?
