Is there still any ladybugs?

Ladybugs can still be found, but they may not be native. The nine-spotted ladybug is now almost extinct in northeast North America. Ladybirds are still visible, but they are more likely to be an invasive species like the Asian lady beetle.

This begs the question: How many ladybugs remain in the world?

There is about 5,000 species of ladybirds around the world.

Where are all the ladybugs, too? Seven-spotted ladybugs, which are native to Europe, were introduced to North America in mid-1900s to manage aphid infestations. Ladybugs spend their time active between spring and fall. They seek out warm and secluded places to hibernate when the weather turns colder, such as under rocks or in rotting logs.
