Calculator for how much epoxy resin I need

A simple volume calculation is used to determine how much epoxy you will need. Simply multiply the length of your pour by its depth, then convert it to liters.

How do you determine how much epoxy resin you should use?

The amount of resin required to cast a part

  1. Formula for a Square/Rectangular Piece: Length x Width x Height.
  2. Example: Let's say your piece measures 3x4x2x2 = 24 cubic inches. Take 24 cubic inches x. 5.54 ounces = 13.25 ounces.
  3. Formula for a round piece: Pi x Radius(squared) = Height

You may also wonder how much resin I will need. For every 1 sqm of thickness, you will need 1 kg of resin. To calculate the amount of resin you need, multiply the thickness (in millimetres), by the area of the surface (in square meters).

How many square feet does a gallon epoxy cover?

1.6 square feet

What amount of clear epoxy resin is required?

Clear skim coat epoxy is required for countertops made of wood or concrete. A single skim coat of epoxy will cover 60 square feet. We recommend two coats. A 2 quart kit is recommended, along with the epoxy needed for the color countertop pour.
