Care for Silestone countertops

Use a paper towel to wipe the surface clean with the appropriate cleaner. The area can be soaked in paper towels for between 3-10 minutes, if necessary. Use a Scotch Brite non-scratch scrubber to clean the area. Rinse and dry completely. SILESTONE SHOULD NOT BE PLACED OUTDOORS, OR IN PLACES WITH UV LIGHTING.

  2. Allow cleaner to remain on the surface for 2 minutes
  3. Use a damp cloth to remove any residue.
  4. Finally, dry the surface thoroughly and remove any chemical residues.

Do Silestone countertops require sealing? It is stain resistant. Silestone countertops are non-porous, dense, and don't absorb liquids. They do not need sealing as natural stone surfaces like granite. Silestone is impervious to liquids such as wine, oil, and other liquids that are often used in the kitchen.

Can you also put a hot pot on Silestone?

Silestone cannot withstand heat. The homeowner can not place hot saucepans directly on the Silestone countertop. A pot-holder, coaster or trivet should be placed between hot pots and pans and the Silestone countertop.

Can you use vinegar on Silestone?

Silestone is resistant to coffee, wine, vinegar and olive oil. Use mild household cleaners to clean the surface. Avoid harsh cleaners and always use nonabrasive sponges or pads to remove stubborn stains. Avoid using force or pressure.
