What's the difference between c6 and c9 lights?

The smallest of all the strawberry-shaped lights, the C6 light is what many people consider to be the traditional Christmas bulba shape. They measure approximately 3/4 inches in diameter and 1 1/4 inches high. The C9 light bulbs have the same strawberry shape as C6 or C7 but are slightly larger than those of C7.

So, what is the difference between c7 lights and c9?

C7 or C9 refers to the size of a cord's socket. A C7 cord has sockets that are slightly smaller than a C9 Cord. Each cord has a different base type of light bulb. The C7 Cord fits a candelabra-base bulb while the C9 Cord fits an intermediate bulb.
