What does the BIC card do?

A plastic Benefits Identification card (BIC) has been issued to you. This BIC can be used to verify your eligibility to Medi-Cal benefits and allow your Medi-Cal providers bill for your dental and medical care.

How do I obtain my Bic card in this regard?

Request a replacement Benefit Issuance Card. You can request a replacement benefit card via MyBenefitsCalWIN.org, or by calling (888) 472-4463. It will take approximately 7 days for a new card to arrive in the mail.

How long does it take for your Bic card to be issued? Within the next 45 days, the county mails you a notice letting you know if you are eligible for Medi-Cal. If you are eligible, you'll receive a MediCal benefits identification card (BIC), by mail.

What is a medical BIC Card?

Each Medi-Cal beneficiary receives a Medi-Cal Benefits ID Card (BIC). This card is issued by the Department of Health Care Services. The provider must verify that the recipient is eligible for the services being provided and the card is valid.

How can I find out if my benefits card is active?
