Do you think SSL provides authentication?

SSL certificates are an integral part of data encryption that makes internet transactions secure. These digital passports provide authentication that protects the integrity and confidentiality of web communication with browsers.

What is server authentication in SSL, other than the above? SSL server authentication. SSL Server authentication verifies the identity of sites you interact with. Authentication certificates can be digitally signed documents that bind the public keys to the identity of their private key owners.

How does SSL authentication work?

SSL/TLS client authentication is, as the name suggests, intended for the client and not a server. The server certificate is used by the client (browser), to verify the identity of the server. If the server and certificate are valid, the client (browser) establishes a connection.
