How can you test EWS connectivity

Open a web browser and type your EWS URL. (See the previous section for instructions). Windows will ask for your credentials (Fig. 1.). If your credentials are correct, you'll be connected (even though a certificate error occurs - see Figure).



This in mind, how can you test EWS?

Connect to Microsoft Outlook 2007 and later that uses the same Exchange EWS Connector.

  1. Hold down the Ctrl key, and then right-click on the Outlook Icon from the system tray.
  2. Choose aTest Email Auto Configurationa from this menu.
  3. Enter an email address that is located on the Exchange server you wish to use.
  4. Click to Test

How do you test Exchange connectivity? Test Microsoft Exchange Web Services Connectivity. Enter details about the test account into the input field of the tester. Enter the email address for DomainUsername. Two methods can be used by the tester to connect to the server.

  3. Enter the URL for the EWS endpoint.

What URL is the EWS?

The URL of exchange web service for the mailbox is the URL: https:///EWS/Exchange.asmx. For Microsoft Exchange (on premise) The URL can be composed using the following syntax: https:///EWS/Exchange.asmx.
