How can you cut small tiles with out chipping?

Cut from using an Adjustable Saw
Water should be poured into the reservoir located under the platform of the diamond-blade saw. The saw should be adjusted to cutting at a depth of approximately 1/8 inch in the tile. This is not enough to it. If the blade is lower, adjust the depth at the back of the saw blade close to the hinge.

Do you prefer to cut tiles face down or face up?

Place the tile on the platform of the saw. The tile's top should be facing up if the blade is lower. The tile should face down if the saw blade is on the platform that cuts tiles from the bottom.

Why does my tile crack when I cut it?

Pull the handle down until the tile is scored with a deeper cut. The tile is snapped when pressure is applied to the score line. Lowes.com suggests applying equal pressure to both sides of the tile using both your hands. Tiles can crack or break if they are subject to too much pressure.
