Is it possible to paint over mirrors?

Acrylics and enamels. Water-based enamel paints and acrylics stick to mirrors, giving them a similar appearance once the paint dries. When dry acrylic paint can be scraped off glass, but this shouldn't be a problem if you have a mirror.

You can paint the mirror's back, just as you did with the front.

Copper paint can be applied over the silver coat. Protect the backside of the mirror by applying a protective backing painting. After the final coat is dry, you can reframe the mirror and hang it.

Mirrored walls are also no longer fashionable. No longer are mirrored walls a sign of old design. Mirrored walls are back and can be used to create a wide range of looks from the modern and clean to the luxurious and decadent.

Can you paint over mirror doors in this way?

Mirrored brass closet doors can look dated and are not always easy to replace. To give your closet doors a new look, paint them. You can find glass paints in hobby and home improvement stores.

How do you seal paint on mirrors?

All areas that you intend to paint should be coated with a thin layer of white gesso. Gesso will give your mirror acrylic something to stick onto. You can use a small paintbrush to fill in the areas you want to paint.
